Macniven & Cameron Pens 1905-1955
Macniven & Cameron, the makers of the famous Waverley steel pen nib, were founded in Edinburgh in 1770 and entered the lucrative English fountain pen market in 1905. They made complete pens, including 14ct nibs, in Birmingham and London for more than two decades until they were forced to discontinue manufacture and out-source to specialists.
Together with dozens of advertisements, patent drawings and price lists, this 111-page volume features images of more than 120 Waverley and Cameron pens and pencils, ranging from lovely silver-overlaid ED-fillers to the humble steel nib pens.
Macniven & Cameron pens are quite hard to come by today, and this book will be an invaluable source to pen collectors, giving some idea of the wide range that was available from one of the early pen pioneers in Great Britain
